While hundreds of absentee and other ballots remain to be counted, there's no doubting that Adam Christianson's margin of victory was narrower Tuesday than it was when he was elected in 2006.
Four years ago, Christianson finished with 38,544 votes, or 62 percent of the total. Mark Puthuff had 23,669 votes, or 38 percent.
On Tuesday, Christianson had 24,641 votes, or 57 percent, while Jackson had 18,549 votes, or 43 percent.
The 2010 totals will climb as election workers finish counting and certify the results.
