The Modesto City Council took action on the following items Wednesday evening:
Approved an electronic message board for giving information about community events. The 65-square-foot board will be put on the Gianelli & Associates law firm building near Five Points, where McHenry Avenue, J Street, Needham Street, 17th Street and Downey Avenue come together. The Modesto Convention and Visitors Bureau will broadcast the messages on the board.
Set a July 13 public hearing on the landscape maintenance assessments for the Dry Creek Meadows, Creekwood Meadows and Yosemite Meadows subdivisions. The proposed levies for the year starting July 1 are $131 per acre for commercial property and $26 per residential parcel.
