There’s no shortage of construction at Modesto Junior College this summer, as crews take on projects spelled out in Measure E, a $326 million bond approved by voters in 2004 to pay for building and renovation at MJC and Columbia College.
On Tuesday at the MJC West Campus on Blue Gum Avenue, workers were busy raising the walls for the Allied Health Building.
The building will house MJC’s nursing facility and include space for respiratory care and dental programs.
Across town at MJC’s East Campus on College Avenue, top left and above, portables fill the parking lot next to the stadium providing temporary classrooms while Founder’s Hall gets a major face-lift.
Never miss a local story.
Crews are moving items from Founder’s Hall into the cluster of portables, called “Pirate’s Village.”
