A 36-year-old man led authorities on a 60-mile chase from Dublin to Modesto, where he was arrested Saturday afternoon on charges of felony evading, resisting arrest and driving on a suspended license. Stanislaus County sheriff's deputies took over the pursuit about 3:18 p.m. The driver, Francisco Aranda, hit a guardrail near Modesto and his car began to malfunction and slow down, said Lt. Mario Cisneros. Aranda pulled over near Claus Road and Yosemite Boulevard in east Modesto. "We don't know if his car didn't run anymore or if he just gave up," Cisneros said.
