Three men were injured Friday afternoon when the car they were in spun out of control and struck a cement wall along North Carpenter Road in west Modesto, police said.
The men complained of pain, and their injuries did not appear to be serious, said Modesto police Sgt. Garret Crawford.
The men were taken by ambulances to a Modesto hospital. Their names and ages were not available.
The crash occurred about 3:20 p.m. in the 1000 block of North Carpenter Road, north of Kansas Avenue.

Crawford said the three men were in Carpenter's right southbound lane, exceeding the 40-mph speed limit in a white compact car.
He said the car merged to the left at an unsafe speed, and the driver lost control.
The car spun around across the northbound lanes and slid onto the sidewalk, crashing into the cement wall on the east side of the road. The crash also took down a streetlight. The car's front end sustained major damage. Crawford said one passenger was ejected. The driver and the second passenger got out of the car on their own. He said there was no indication that drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash.
Carpenter's northbound lanes were closed as authorities cleared the crash site.
