Two artists with roots in Stanislaus County came up short at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards on Saturday. Robert Ulrich, a 1972 Davis High School graduate, was nominated for casting "Glee." That award went to "Modern Family." Bayard Stryker, a 1996 Turlock High School graduate, was nominated for "outstanding short-form picture editing" for his work on a horror tribute montage that was part of the Academy Awards in March. That award went to "Jimmy Kimmel Live."
