A Sacramento County sheriff's spokesman said authorities seized 80 marijuana plants at a home near Modesto as part of an investigation that discovered nearly 475 pounds of crystal methamphetamine and cocaine Thursday at a rural Gilroy home.
Sheriff's Sgt. Tim Curran said the marijuana was found Thursday at the home in the 600 block of Romeo Avenue in a neighborhood east of Highway 99, between Modesto and Ceres.
No arrests were made at the home, and no weapons were found.
The Romeo Avenue home is believed to be part of a meth distribution ring that included a Sacramento home and the Gilroy home, which was the main trafficking hub.
The investigators seized 459 pounds of meth, 15 pounds of cocaine, $35,000 in cash and two guns.
