Cadets earn their badges in CHP graduation ceremony

The California Highway Patrol swore in more than 60 new officers during a graduation ceremony Friday at the CHP Academy in West Sacramento.

The California Highway Patrol swore in more than 60 new officers during a graduation ceremony Friday at the CHP Academy in West Sacramento.

Above, Brian Foltz of Rocklin, right, valedictorian and awarded most outstanding cadet, has his badge pinned on by his wife, Melissa Foltz, as new CHP cadets graduate.

The cadets completed 27 weeks of training before Friday’s graduation ceremony.

From here, they become officers and are posted throughout the state.
