Congratulations to the Merced Sun-Star and Joshua Emerson-Smith for the excellent Thanksgiving story about Elements Merced, a program that will link social-media savvy students with small-business owners. The program is designed to help the businesses improve their revenues and expand their customer base and to provide students with training, experience and jobs.

As the funder of the $215,000 Elements Merced initiative, Citi looks forward to tremendous success for the businesses as well as the students.

For the last decade, Citi and Citi Community Development have worked hard to put down roots in Merced and to support the local community.

We are proud to support this important initiative which will strengthen the Merced business community.
