Saving our youth today is a puzzle and a challenge. They have nobody to guide them and locking them up doesn't help.
We have group homes that collect money and do little else than give out pills. They staff the group homes with people who give no help and provoke problems. This causes our county police to be overburdened. We need to look more closely into saving our youth and not just making a buck. We pay people to oversee and regulate these homes and they fall short.
Abuse goes on in the name of child protective holds. Neighbors are fearful because of lack of supervision. We as humans need to come up with better reasons and ways to help our youth than putting money in our pockets.
