Al Kessler: Government is taking away our rights

Should we trust a government to record every phone call (both phone numbers and time) and not look at it?

We have a right to communicate with others (freedom of speech) without the government knowing who we associate with. Ben Franklin said it best in 1759. He said, "Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety."

I can add nothing to his words of wisdom.

The real question is, what else is the government doing to "protect us" by taking away our rights?
