Rosie T. Gibson: Pick up after yourselves, people

I've had this in mind for a while, concerning the care that we as citizens of Merced County exercise toward the various parks to use for our recreation and enjoyment. My husband and I live closer to the Veterans Park in Atwater, which we frequent to take our walks along with our dog.

Sometimes meet our grandsons who do enjoy the play areas.

Today we had the opportunity to take them to swimming lessons at McNamara Park in Merced where they live, and we noticed the same problem: People don’t care about picking up or cleaning up after themselves. The maintenance is done by employees of the county, but yet we individuals need to give a helping hand to our community as well. Let's do so; set the example to others as well as the children who enjoy the facilities also.
