Joe Cedillo: Don't disgrace country

It sickens me to hear how some people are reacting to the verdict of the George Zimmerman trial. One person blames God, another says our judicial system is broken and lastly, those who are ashamed of America.

Like a tagger marring a pristine canvas, Anthea Butler calling the Almighty racist only makes matters worse by cultivating racism.

To Royce White, who claims our American judicial system is broken, I say "She doesn't play favorites." What about the times it protects you from every type of degenerate that walks the streets?

Finally, to David Simon and others like you who are ashamed of America, I say "I'm ashamed of you!" It's you who is a disgrace to this country by dishonoring those patriots who died, served and those who are serving today to keep you free. You should be ashamed to use your First Amendment right so foolishly by encouraging violence.

I am proud of my God, family and country. As Abraham Lincoln said: "I like to see a man proud of the place in which he lives. I like to see a man live so that his place will be proud of him."
