The movies "Rob Roy" and "Braveheart" depicted man against evil. In either case, the hero's struggles are depicted, fighting oppression, freedom from tyrannical rule and feudal subjectivity — much like Ghandi was able to accomplish. Also, what Cesar Chavez did with his UFW labor union movement is an example of how one person can change the world.
The Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. inspired me with his slogan, "What the country needs is less monologue and more dialogue." What King meant was less of just one person talking and everyone listening. Kind of like a sermon in the church. King preached that we have more dialogue, an exchange of word and ideas.
JFK was the first and so far the only president who was Catholic. "Ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country."
