Bill Dunham: The other guy was the rude driver

I was driving back to work about 12:30 on M and got stopped at the red light on Olive. I was at one of the driveways into Starbucks and a minivan was there, so I did what I think the law asks and stayed back to let that driver out.

A man in a red car pulled up behind me and wanted to turn into that driveway and started honking at me. I pointed to the car that was wanting to exit onto M Street. But the guy in the red car was angry.

I didn’t budge. I let the other car out into traffic and then pulled forward.

As the red car turned into the driveway, he flipped me off and shouted an obscenity at me. He apparently convinced himself that I was doing some self-centered act. My appeal would be to this guy’s wife or friends, who can explain to him, that it wasn’t me, but him, who was the jerk.
