I gained a great deal of respect for Stan Thurston while attending a council meeting during the Parsons gap debacle. At one point, after a room full of residents who had submitted signed petitions and many had stood up to voice their concerns, Thurston said he felt the best thing would be to relook at the whole plan. I was very pleased and felt like our system did work and what the people wanted did make a difference. To my dismay, the council, including Noah Lor and Tony Dossetti voted against the wants of the mayor and the concerned citizens.
Lor even went on to say that he knew it would affect the safety of the whole neighborhood but he was supporting it anyway. Now he is doing the same thing with the safety of the school children in the medical center area. These are not people I want representing me so I am proudly casting my vote for Thurston.
