Alexis Montoya and Gabrielle Avila: Atwater assembly help appreciated

Atwater High School planned our first “Miracles Do Happen” assembly. Every student on campus was given the opportunity to make a wish. Thousands of dollars were raised and handed out to students in the form of family dinners, prom tickets, yearbooks, movie tickets, iPods, spa days and even a trip to Disneyland.

Though tears were shed, the atmosphere at the assembly was one of joy, gratitude and unity. The Atwater Falcon family created and shared many unforgettable and heartfelt memories in “The Nest” on Dec. 6.

The smiles on the faces of our students would not have been possible without the help and generous donations of the businesses of our community and the vital donations of the Atwater High staff. On behalf of the AHS leadership class, staff, students and those who had their wishes come true, thank you. Thank you to Bling by Noreen; Frank C. Carson Attorney at Law; Olzack Healthcare Consulting, Inc.; C.R. Cabinets; Baskin Robbins; La Ti Da Salon; ProfessioNAILS; Pedi Bar and Salon; Dust Bowl Brewery; Sweet River; Geno’s Pizza; Cocomo’s Salon and Day Spa; Almond Tree; J&R Tacos; O’Reilly’s Auto Parts; Envy’s Fine Clothing; the Merced Costco, Gemperle Enterprises; Todd Prichard at Wilson’s Family Funeral Home; Winton Cemetery; Affordable Markers, and the amazing Atwater High staff.
