Well, here we go again. The city of Merced is buying two houses, a one-bedroom and a two-bedroom for around $300,000. I can only imagine what garden spot these homes must be in to generate that price, though I’m sure at these prices the homes are fully renovated.

I can’t help but wonder who is the lucky sellers of these valuable properties. Don’t you wonder or have you given up and stopped caring? Remember the last home purchase was on Highway 59 and that was going to be used for affordable housing. The city bought that tear-down/burn-down for something like $145,000 and no one batted an eyelash. Well, it’s my money as well as yours and it’s time to hold these people accountable. Show up at the next council meeting and demand an accounting!
