Mark and Terri Jeppesen: Swiggart is the best fit for Merced sheriff

We need someone who will protect the people of this county with strong leadership and current law-enforcement experience. As a senior sergeant with 23 years in the Merced County Sheriff’s Office, his law-enforcement career speaks to his experience and commitment to public safety and his dedication to the community he proudly serves.

I support Frank Swiggart for sheriff because we need someone who will protect the people of this county with strong leadership and current law-enforcement experience. As a senior sergeant with 23 years in the Merced County Sheriff’s Office, his law-enforcement career speaks to his experience and commitment to public safety and his dedication to the community he proudly serves.

Being a third-generation resident, he recognizes the needs in every region of our county. He knows the programs and staff within the Sheriff’s Office that are effective and also knows what changes need to be made to make for a more efficient way of protecting the citizens of Merced County while saving tax dollars.

As a county, we are very diverse in our population, and the next sheriff needs to have a good knowledge base to understand and relate to that diversity; Frank fits that need. At 47, Frank has a long-term vision for the future of our county and the courage to lead us to safer communities for our families.

Please consider voting for Frank on June 3. He has conducted himself with honor and nobility throughout his career and would make an excellent sheriff when elected.
