Regarding “Enlist the Dreamers” by Denise Pulido (Letters, May 23): Those advocating for citizenship for “undocumented” workers have easily adopted the word “undocumented” rather than the term “illegal aliens” – which is the correct term. Some might be children of illegal immigrants, but somehow, somewhere, they got here illegally.

To compare these people to the immigrants who flocked to this country in the early 1900s is another misuse of language. Most of those immigrants were brought here and processed through legal procedures (at Ellis Island, etc.). They did not sneak into the country. Nor did our ancestors who fought in the Revolutionary War. Please, can we stop doctoring the English language to fit our political agenda?
