Regarding “Gray draws a write-in challenger” (Page A2, May 22): In the article announcing Jack Mobley as a write-in candidate for the 21stAssembly District, incumbent Adam Gray said, “It’s not real indicative of someone who’s a serious candidate.” Well, Adam, I would say that Jack Mobley, who has diligently pursued the 21stAssembly District seat three times before against the Democratic political machinery, which you are a part of, is a pretty serious candidate.

People of the 21st Assembly District, when are you going to realize that Adam Gray is just another career politician backed by big money from the state machine?

Most career politicians are only interested in one thing – getting re-elected. They are not interested in solving your problems.

I have known Jack Mobley for 20 years. He’s exactly the kind of man we need in Sacramento.

If you want to solve our economic problems and attract new businesses to Merced County, then put Jack Mobley in the Assembly. He has nearly 30 years of experience running a successful business.

Farmers, do you want to solve your water problem? Then put Jack Mobley in the Assembly. He has many strong relationships with farmers and truly understands your needs.

If you want things to stay the same, then keep putting people like Adam Gray in the Assembly. But, if you want things to change, write in Jack Mobley on June 3, then overwhelmingly vote for him in November.
