While I am not so naive as to assume that politics are always played out in an honorable fashion, I find myself angered when it is cheapened by dirty tricks. This past election for the 16th Congressional District provided an example of dishonorable political practice on the part of the Johnny Tacherra campaign. The night before the election, many voters in the district got a robocall. The call was filled with falsehoods concerning the political views of Steve Crass. The call was made on behalf of Tacherra. I have no idea how many voters might have been influenced by such a call, but it is unfortunately another example of sleazy politics and, as such, does dishonor to our political system.
