I recently took advantage of the new Merced County veteran ID card.

I not only saved a little money, I also felt recognized for my service by a business in our community.

The ID card has other uses. For our homeless wounded warriors, it offers a way to certify that the individual has served and is accorded earned rights and privileges. Cards can be obtained at the Veterans Services Office at 3376 N. Highway 59, Suite D. Call (209) 385-7588.
