No one was hurt during an armed robbery Wednesday afternoon at the MetroPCS store at 1105 W. Main St., police reported.

The incident was reported at 6:36 p.m. after the robber walked in with a knife, demanding money from the clerk, according to Lt. Bimley West.

The clerk handed over cash to the robber, who fled on foot and was last seen running northbound on R Street.

The suspect is described as a Latino male adult in his mid-20, around 5-feet-8-inches tall, 200 pounds. He was wearing a white Nike sweatshirt over several layers of clothing, along with dark pants. He also had a dark hood on his head, West said.

Police are asking anyone with information about the robbery to call Sgt. Scott Skinner at (209) 385-4702 or the department’s automated tip line at (209) 385-4725. Residents can text a tip to TIP411 (847411) using "comvip" as the first word in the text message.
