No injuries were reported after shots rang out Thursday night in south Merced, police said.
The incident was reported just before 9:30 p.m.
Police responded to a call of shots fired. While officers were responding, several more calls were received from residents, advising their homes had been struck with bullets, according to police.
Officers found a residence in the 400 block of La Mesa Court, near Gerard Avenue, that had been hit several times. Officers also discovered several shell casings in the front yard. No one inside was injured and no witnesses were located, police said.
