Members of the Atwater High School FFA chapter made up one of 40 teams participating in the 2009 National FFA nursery/landscape career development event. The competition was held Oct. 21-24, during the 82nd National FFA Convention.
During the event, participants were asked to identify plant specimens according to their technical and common names and take a multiple-choice exam. The FFA members also performed hands-on activities ranging from landscape drawing to interpersonal relations.
