Chowchilla baseball wins in walk-off

Troy Uphoff doubled to score Sean Kinsley to send the Chowchilla High baseball team home with a walk-off, 4-3 win over Washington Union on Tuesday afternoon.
Uphoff highlighted a two-run rally to erase a 3-2 lead by the Panthers (0-2 North Sequoia League). Caleb Crow led off the seventh for the Redskins (2-0, 7-1 overall) with a single and was sacrificed to second base. Crow came around to score on a Kinsley single to tie the game.
Kinsley and Crow both had a pair of hits for Chowchilla.
Caruthers 14, Dos Palos 4
DOS PALOS — Caruthers scored 12 runs in the final two innings to put the Broncos away. Jacob Coronado led Dos Palos, going 3 for 4 at the plate.
Atwater 15, Golden Valley 1
The Falcons scored 12 runs in the top of the second inning as they crushed the Cougars.
Aliyah Ricks went 4 for 4 with three runs. Grace Santistevan gave up just one hit to pick up the win and also went 4 for 4 at the plate with two runs.
Atwater (3-0 Central California Conference) will square off with Merced (3-0) on Thursday at Merced. Shyan Crutcher accounted for the only Cougars’ run with a sole homer to lead off the bottom of the first inning.
Merced 12, Turlock 0
The Bears pounded out 13 hits as they easily improved to 3-0 in the CCC.
Jahnessa Anderson-Lopez went 3 for 3 with two RBI. Serina Castillo also had three hits and two RBIs for Merced.
Livingston 4, Pacheco 0
LIVINGSTON — Roxanna Barragan scored two goals and assisted on another to help the Wolves improve to 4-0 in the Western Athletic Conference.
