Recap: Furman vs. Davidson

Greenville, SC (SportsNetwork.com) - Chris Czerapowicz scored 21 points on 6- of-9 shooting as the Davidson Wildcats routed the Furman Paladins, 73-56, in a Southern Conference contest at Timmons Arena.
De'Mon Brooks scored 18 points and had nine rebounds for Davidson (6-10, 2-0 Southern). Tom Droney added five assists.
Stephen Croone paced the Paladins (6-10, 0-3) with 21 points. Charlie Reddick brought down seven boards. Furman has now lost four of its last five games.
Davidson connected on 52 percent of its shot from the floor and 6-of-14 from 3-point range in the first half. The Wildcats took a 41-28 lead into the break. Furman struggled, making just 41.7 percent of its shots from the field and 3-of-10 from beyond the arc in the frame, while turning the ball over 10 times.
The second period was not a problem as the Wildcats made 47.8 percent of their field goal attempts. Furman shot 47.1 percent from the floor but was unable to get back into the game.
The Paladins hurt themselves all night with 21 turnovers. Davidson did a good job of finding the open man as they had 18 assists, while Furman only had four.
