Recap: Northern Ariz vs. Sacramento St

Flagstaff, AZ (SportsNetwork.com) - Aaseem Dixon scored a game-high 22 points to carry the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks to a 75-65 victory over the Sacramento State Hornets in a Big Sky Conference collision at the Walkup Skydome.
Quinton Upshur hit all five of his shots from beyond the arc and finished with 18 points for Northern Arizona (5-9, 2-1 Big Sky), which had lost two of its previous three. Max Jacobsen added 17 points.
Mikh McKinney paced Sacramento State (4-8, 0-3) with 15 points. Dylan Garrity tallied 12 points. The Hornets have lost three of their last four.
It was Sacramento State that led, 32-31 at the break. Each team had 12 field goals, while combining to go 9-of-11 from beyond the arc in the frame. However, the Hornets had a slight edge from the free-throw line (4-2).
After intermission Northern Arizona pulled away by shooting 48 percent from the floor, while sinking 14-of-23 shots from the free-throw line. The Hornets shot 50 percent in the frame, but had just three tries at the charity stripe.
Northern Arizona earned a 20-12 scoring advantage off of turnovers. Sacramento State was the superior team scoring in the paint (26-16). The teams combined for 21 3-pointers.
