DELHI - Three people have been arrested and five others are being sought in connection with a series of home invasion robberies in northern Merced County dating back to April 2006, according to Deputy Paul Barile, spokesman for the Merced County Sheriff''s Department.
At least six home invasion robberies have taken place in Merced County and others were reported in Stanislaus and Sonoma counties. Barile said deputies with the department's Major Crimes Unit believe other home invasion robberies targeted drug dealers and have gone unreported. The robberies all have taken place in early-morning hours, with robbers breaking into houses, armed with handguns or shotguns.
