LOS BANOS -- Two women were arrested Tuesday morning on drug charges after a search warrant was served at their Badger Flat Road mobile home, according to Deputy Kevin Blake of the Merced County Sheriff's Department.
Suzanne Foster, 51, and Joyce Franco, 53, were arrested about 10:30 a.m. at their home in the 15000 block of Badger Flat Road in rural Los Banos. Blake, a member of the Sheriff's Tactical and Reconnaissance team, said it was determined Foster was selling crystal methamphetamine from the house.
Blake said three separate packages of crystal meth weighing 24 grams were found in Foster's bedroom, along with a digital scale with meth residue on it, and several unused bags used to package drugs. Nine deputies serving the warrant seized $1,695 in cash under asset forfeiture laws.
Deputies reported finding a small bag with meth in Franco's purse along with a glass pipe used to smoke the drug. Foster told deputies she started selling meth several months ago to support her own addiction, Blake said.
