Seven people were arrested early Saturday morning on multiple charges after they allegedly beat up a man, vandalized a South Merced home and stole some items from him.
Sgt. Tony Aponte of the Merced Police Department said a 20-year-old man received head and facial injuries when he was assaulted at a Barbados Court home about 2:11 a.m. The men, some of them known gang members, vandalized the home and took about $500 worth of the victim's property.
At 5:17 a.m. Saturday, officers located the suspects in the beating and property belonging to the victim. Adrian Castillo, 23, of Merced, was arrested on charges of assault and battery, vandalism, and possession of stolen property. Richard Bonilla, 25, and Anthony Bonilla, 22, both of Merced, were arrested on charges of assault and battery, vandalism, and parole violation.
Frank Vielma, 41, of Merced, was arrested on charges of assault and battery, vandalism, and resisting arrest. Carlos Castillo, 25, of Merced, was arrested for assaulting a peace officer. A 17-year-old boy was arrested on charges of assault and battery, and vandalism.

Castillo and Anthony Bonilla remained in Merced County Jail Sunday night in lieu of $50,250 bail; Richard Bonilla and Vielma remained jailed on no-bail parole holds.
