There is murder most foul at Playhouse Merced this Halloween season, and guests are dropping like flies.
Playhouse Merced takes fiendish delight in presenting, "Something's Afoot," a satirical poke at Agatha Christie mysteries and musical styles of the past decades.
A delicious way to celebrate Halloween, "Something's Afoot" is set in a ubiquitous isolated English manor.
"Ten people are stranded during a raging thunderstorm," Joe Hypes said. "One by one they are picked off by cleverly fiendish and hilarious devices. Watch as the survivors frantically try to discover the culprit and prepare for the dazzling and outrageous climax!"

Patrons will be on the edges of their seats as they try to find out whodunnit!
Is it Lettie the saucy maid, Flint the caretaker or perhaps Nigel Rancour, the black sheep nephew?
It could be anyone and everyone, but the suspects are disappearing through exploding balustrades, poisoned darts and electrocuting light switches.
While viewing "Something's Afoot," patrons are invited to visit Playhouse Merced's frightening Haunted House, Nightmare on Main Street, which is open tonight and Saturday and Sunday nights and every night the week before Halloween.
Patrons may call the Box Office for Special Haunted House/Something's Afoot packages.
"It is the perfect show for those who like who-dunits, beautiful music, incredible death scenes, or for those that just want to laugh all evening long," Joe said. "This show features an absolute all-star cast that will leave you breathless and wanting more."
