It's another busy night of volleyball.

Seven area teams are still alive in the second round of the playoffs.

Golden Valley (16-2) will try to advance to the Sac-Joaquin Section semifinals for just the fourth time in school history.

No. 3 GV will host No. 11 Stockton Lincoln tonight at 7 p.m. in the Division I playoffs.

"(Lincoln) is a solid team," Thissen said. "Obviously, we're more interested in how we play.

"I'd like to see us get off to a faster start than we did against Edison."

No. 5 Buhach Colony (15-2) will travel to No. 4 Fair Oaks Bella Vista in Division II.

Michelle Osmer's team will be focused on stopping 6-foot-1 middleblocker Melissa Bishop.

Meanwhile, BC will lean on its top offensive threat Megan Callahan.

"We'll go in with our strongest lineup and then adjust from there," Osmer said. "We're going to try to feed the ball to Megan as much as we can.

"We have to play defense. That's been our key all season."

Le Grand, Hilmar, Mariposa, Stone Ridge Christian and Chowchilla will all be in action tonight.
