Floro makes his pitch: BC senior signs with Fullerton

ATWATER -- The idea of playing with his brother and pitching for one of the top college baseball teams in the country was too much to pass up for Dylan Floro.

The Buhach Colony senior signed his national letter of intent to accept a baseball scholarship to Cal State Fullerton on Thursday morning.

He'll join his older brother, Brock, who transferred from Merced College to Fullerton this fall.

"It feels good," Floro said. "It gives me a chance to play with my brother a couple more years at a higher level of baseball."

Floro was named a second-team All-American by Baseball America last season after compiling a 12-1 record a 0.75 ERA.

Whether Floro honors his commitment to Fullerton may hinge on where he's selected in the Major League Baseball draft this June.

"If I'm offered a pretty good amount of money, I'd consider it," Floro said. "We'll see where I fall in the draft."
