Keith Hunter is man enough to learn from his mistakes.
The Golden Valley coach blamed himself for not utilizing his bench enough in a loss to Los Banos on Wednesday.
Hunter wasn't about to repeat the blunder on Friday night, much to the detriment of Modesto Downey.
With a constant rotation of fresh legs, Golden Valley wore down Downey with unrelenting pressure.

Hunter's squad forced 22 turnovers in total and ran away witha 67-40 victory.
"That's how we have to play," Hunter said. "And I have to trust us to be able to do that.
"I didn't go to the bench enough against Los Banos and we got tired.
"I did it tonight and we got some nice contributions."
Justin Wooten (12 points) was particularly sharp off of the bench for Hunter, knocking down four first-half 3- pointers.
Golden Valley (13-3) had 12 3-pointers in total, shooting 50 percent from behind the arc in the game.
Wooten and Donte Scott led GV with four apiece.
"That's the beauty of this offense," said Scott, who finished with a team-high 18 points. "Everybody is unselfish.
"We move the ball around and find the open man.
"When we're on, we're on. And anyone would have trouble beating us."
With GV's sharpshooters connecting from the outside, John Sykes got a little bit of extra space to wreak havoc on the Downey (7-9) interior.
"These guys make it easy for me sometimes," said Sykes who finished with 17 points and a team-high eight rebounds.
"We've been working on our shot selection a lot and I think it paid off tonight."
As well as Golden Valley shot the ball, its defense is what broke open the game.
Scott led the way with five steals and Sykes added three -- one of which led to an emphatic dunk.
"It was just a great team effort tonight," Hunter said. "We moved the ball well on offense and we forced like three 10-second calls.
"I'm very pleased with the team's energy."
