A 21-year-old man accused of spraying graffiti in downtown Merced pleaded guilty this month to misdemeanor vandalism charges.
Anthony Roraback, of Merced, was sentenced to nine months in jail after entering the plea on June 18, said Merced officer Allen Adrian.
Roraback was arrested in October after police found his tagging moniker spray painted on several rooftops along Main Street.
In addition to the jail time, Roraback must perform 40 hours of community services and pay fines totaling $1,300, Adrian said. Roraback also pleaded guilty to a gang enhancement for being a member of a tagging crew. Since his arrest, police have also arrested other members of his crew.
