It was a clean sweep of the Central California Conference Most Valuable Player awards for the Merced boys and girls water polo teams.
Leading scorer Connor Greene took home the honor for the boys, who finished second to Turlock in the standings.
"It's a nice award," said Merced coach Steve Eccles. "I think it means the other coaches felt he meant more to our team than anybody else. We're not where we're at without him."
You can say the same thing about Alison Miller, who helped the Merced girls tie Turlock atop the standings at 9-1.
The Buhach Colony girls had two players named to the all-CCC first team after clinching its first playoff berth. Both goalie Rebecca Hammar and Paloma Salazar were named to the first team along with the Merced duo of Paige Rasmussen and Tessa Hanson and Golden Valley's Alexis Koenig.
On the boys side, Merced's Brian Laguna, Atwater's Chase DeLaCruz and Buhach Colony's Hector Rangel all earned first-team honors.
