UC Merced professor Marcos E. Garcia-Ojeda, PhD, will be one of the researchers speaking at a free seminar in Stockton today focusing on patient advocacy and stem cells.
The California Institute for Regenerative Medicine will host the event at the Stockton Hilton, 2323 Grand Canal Blvd. from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The seminar will include a stem cell update on cardiovascular and autoimmune diseases. Some of the topics discussed include tissue engineering and cell therapy for heart disease, autoimmunity and inflammation and patient advocate sharing session.
Along with Garcia-Ojeda, other University of California scientists and patient advocates will be speaking.
