LE GRAND -- Merced County sheriff's detectives are tight-lipped about two people found dead Tuesday morning in the kitchen of a home at 9486 E. Le Grand Road.
Although the victims were found with possible gunshot wounds, investigators have released few details about the circumstances surrounding the killings.
Investigators responded to the scene after sheriff's dispatchers received a call at 9:47 a.m. When deputies arrived 10 minutes later, they found a man and woman dead in the kitchen.
Deputy Ed Katen said that a child in the home called a family member about the bodies. The family member then called 911. The child, whose age and name weren't released, is staying with family members.

The deaths are being investigated as possible homicides by the sheriff's major crimes unit. No arrests have been made, Katen said, adding that no motive or suspects have been named in the case.
Katen said the sheriff's department hasn't had any calls to the home previously.
