MODESTO -- The UC Cooperative Extension and the Cling Peach Board will sponsor a cling peach day Dec. 15 from 8:30 a.m. to noon at the Harvest Hall, Stanislaus County Agricultural Center, at Service and Crows Landing roads.
Included will be discussion of the light brown apple moth, the peach IPN project, updates on domestic promotion and other initiatives, nematode management strategies, using the string blossom thinner to increase yields and reduce labor and the barrel thinner, a way to mechanically thin fruit.
