Five residents of a McKee-area home were displaced by a Friday night fire, according to Cal Fire.
The 8 p.m. blaze destroyed two rooms in the house in the 2600 block of East Childs Avenue. A total of 25 firefighters, with five engines and a water tender, responded to the call. No injuries were reported, and the family is receiving assistance from the American Red Cross.
Merced County firefighters also responded to two other fires over the weekend.
A fire in the 9000 block of Petaluma Avenue in Delhi occurred Friday at 11:20 a.m. It was contained to the attic of the home and caused minor damage to the residents' belongings. Eleven firefighters, with three engines, responded to the call. Two adults were displaced and are receiving assistance from the Red Cross. No injuries were reported.
An early-morning fire in Stevinson was contained to the attic of the home. Seventeen Merced County firefighters responded to the 1 a.m. call in the 2000 block of River Road. No injuries were reported.
