The Merced County Children's Action Coalition said it will sponsor the seventh annual Merced County Children's Summit today at Saint Patrick's Parish in Merced.
The summit will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 671 E. Yosemite Ave.
The keynote speaker will be Jerry Tello, director of the National Latino Fatherhood and Family Institute.
Tello is co-founder of the National Compadres Network and an internationally recognized expert in the areas of family strengthening, community mobilization and culturally based violence prevention/intervention issues. He has specialized in working with multiethnic populations.

The event will also feature "The Children's Bill of Rights," an explicit statement of the priority that Merced County places on caring for its children.
There will also be small-group discussions.
