Two parolees carrying burglary tools were arrested at 3:15 a.m. Wednesday when a Merced police officer found them in a south Merced neighborhood.
Mee Xiong, 23, and Khoa Moua, 30, are being held without bail at the Merced County Jail after Officer Moses Nelson found them on Edan Court. Nelson determined the two were on parole for burglary and found them in possession of a backpack with car keys that had been altered, flashlights, screwdrivers and other tools. The men also had paperwork that contained personal information of someone whose property had been stolen.
Both men are charged with suspicion of parole violation and possession of burglary tools.
