The Merced County Fair said Alicia Villarreal, the Latin Grammy Award-winning singer, will perform June 20, wrapping up six nights of headline entertainment at the fair.
Villarreal's concert will be at 8:30 p.m. in the fairgrounds' CVC/CVT Outdoor Theatre.
Each night of the fair, June 15 to 20, a headline entertainment act will play in the Outdoor Theatre, where all events are free with admission.
One of Mexico's top musical regional artists, Villarreal was born in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. She has sold more than 10 million albums.
In 2004 she released her second solo album, "Cuando el Corazon Se Cruza." The award-winning album was produced by her husband, Cruz Martinez, and the couple wrote several of the songs.
The artist released her latest album, "La Jefa," last summer, with the lead single, "Caso Perdido." The album debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Regional Mexican albums chart and reached No. 4 on the Billboard's Latin Albums chart.
