This week's episode of "Community Conversations," a public service radio program on KYOS 1480 AM, will focus on the state of economic development in Merced, the purpose of DUI checkpoints, and the beginnings of the Merced County Writing Festival.
The hour-long show, produced by the Merced County Office of Education and the City of Merced, will air at 7 p.m. Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday.
Guests include Playhouse Merced's Jim Kocher, David Dohl of the UC Cooperative Extension, Frank Quintero of the City of Merced's economic development department, Staci Santa of the Merced County Arts Center and Martha Hermosillo, interim director of governmental affairs for Merced County.
The show is hosted by Nathan Quevedo, the public information officer for the Merced County Office of Education and engineered by Rick McMillion of KYOS.
