Merced Sunrise Rotary to celebrate 25th anniversary Friday, May 21

Merced Sunrise Rotary said it will celebrate its 25th anniversary of service to the Merced community May 21 at the Italo-American Lodge.

Assemblywoman Cathleen Galgiani and a representative from state Sen. Jeff Denham's office will recognize the club's contributions to the Merced area during the past 25 years, the club said in a news release.

The speaker for the evening will be Brenda Cressey. She has been a Rotarian since 1989 and is a member of the RC of Paso Robles, District 5240. She served as her district's first woman governor in 2001-02. She continues to serve in several leadership, advisory, trainer and facilitation roles in her district, zone, Rotary International and the Rotary Foundation.
