The Yosemite Institute is hosting a week-long summer program for children from June 14 to 18.
The day camp program, called "Yosemite Is Our Backyard," combines physical challenges and team-building activities designed fr children between the ages of seven and 12. The program also includes a cookout and campfire for 7-to-9-year-olds, and an overnight stay at the historic Merced Grove Ranger Cabin for 10-to-12-year-olds.
Each day's activities begin at 8:45 a.m. and end at 4 p.m. in Yosemite Valley. Tuition is $175, but campers whose parents volunteer as chaperones for the week can attend for free.
