SummerFest, the Downtown Merced event held every Thursday afternoon, will include a fresh trout vendor and gift card giveaways this week.
"This is a dynamic event that features new vendors just about every week," SummerFest organizer Tom Price Jr. said in a press release. "We're thrilled to welcome a vendor who will be selling fresh trout."
The event, sponsored by The D magazine and the City of Merced, goes from 6 to 9 p.m. and will be held every Thursday until Sept. 2.
This week, the market vendors will return to Canal Street due to popular demand. Main Street will feature food vendors as well as crafts and art.
Several downtown businesses will be giving away gift cards. To enter, stop by the information booth at Main and Canal streets and pick up a free ticket.
The community stage, at Main and M streets, will feature the city's fire department, the Love, Faith and Hope Best Hip Hop Step show, the South Pacific Dance Company and SKI Karate Dojo.
Vendors this week include Arbor Gallery, Urban Illustrators, Red Sky Comics, D's Music, Retro Lux, henna tattoos, baskets, designer clothes and many more.
Main Street will be closed to automobile traffic from K to M streets.
