The official move-out date for the two homeless camps -- Black Rascal Creek and the Bear Creek encampments -- has been postponed to Oct. 13 because of a county holiday on Oct. 11, according to Mike Conway, public information officer for the city.
The move is to make sure the city will have all the resources available that it needs.
"One of the things we are going to be doing is having a group of service providers that day, and these are a number of people who have been out to the camps already," he said. There will be a few other agencies, such as the Community Action Agency and mental health services, there too.
The city had been posting notice warnings of the camp closures at the sites.

Oct. 11 isn't a city holiday, Conway said.
